Actions: Bitter tonic, Mild laxative, Cholagogue, Blood purifier, Mild diuretic, Alterative. Known to support liver and gallbladder function, promote bile flow, and act as a gentle laxative. Traditionally used to maintain healthy iron levels and improve blood quality. Caution: Avoid high doses or prolonged use due to the anthraquinone laxative effect, which may lead to dependency or gastrointestinal irritation.
