Weedy Wednesday: Orange Peel 🍊

Join us for our final Weedy Wednesday as we spend the afternoon exploring an herb most of us have had in our kitchens all along Orange Peel (Citrus × sinensis).

During class, we’ll take a closer look at orange peel through the lens of herbal medicine. We’ll talk about its traditional uses, energetics, key constituents, and the ways herbalists have used this familiar plant to support digestion, the nervous system, and overall well-being. We’ll also explore preparation methods and practical ways you can incorporate orange peel into your own home apothecary.

As always, Weedy Wednesday is meant to be approachable. You don’t need any previous herbal knowledge just curiosity and a desire to learn more about the plants around us.

A little note about this month:
After much thought, I’ve decided that this will be the final Weedy Wednesday class at MEGAN & CO.

This little monthly gathering has been such a special part of the apothecary. I started Weedy Wednesday as a way to slow down, choose one plant, and create a space where we could learn about herbal medicine together. Over the years, I’ve loved seeing familiar faces return, meeting new people who were just beginning to explore herbs, and watching conversations and connections grow around the table.

While Weedy Wednesday is coming to an end, herbal education is not. Teaching and sharing herbal medicine will continue to be an important part of what we do at MEGAN & CO.; it may simply take different forms moving forward.

So, for our last gathering, we’re keeping it simple: one plant, one afternoon, and one more opportunity to learn together.
